Changin' It Up To Get Out Of This Rut!

Image
In my last post, I talked about how I've been in a little writing rut recently. I called it bloggers block, and up until today I had no idea how I was going to get out of it. When I started this blog, my number one goal above all else was to be consistent. I've had blogs before that I sort of just let fall by the wayside for lack of consistent posting. I was so adamant about keeping up with this blog that I made myself a little content calendar and vowed to stick to it. It was going great until I ran out of ideas for the themes I had set up on the calendar! I'm not even sure how many people read or keep up with my blog - I try to ignore the analytics page as much as possible -because I honestly write this for me, but I do want to give whoever does read it some good content!  I've decided to (sort of) forego my rigid content calendar. Instead of keeping everything exact, (Tuesdays "F'real F'real posts", Thursdays "Currently Loving" posts, ...

SOS - I'm in a rut

Image
Have you ever just felt lost and uninspired?! It's Spring! The time of year for new life and new ideas and aspirations. And lately I've been feeling so stifled and unimaginative. I've been finding hard to pick a topic to discuss and blog about. Feeling like my outfits haven't even been worth posting. I'm trying to work through this rut to bring you guys new and exciting content you'll want to read and I'll want to write! Nothing forced is ever very good. Please just bear with me while I get myself out of this bloggers block. If you have any idea or suggestions on things you'd like to see, please feel free to send me a message on here or any of my social media! And if you'd like to contribute something of your own, please shoot me an email at sunnyjoslynn@gmail.com. Thank you so much, and as always ... Keep smiling and stay SUNNY! Joslynn

F'real F'real: My name is Joslynn, and I am a rambler ...

Image
I like to talk. A lot. When I'm having a conversation, or trying to make a point, I tend to ramble. A lot. Like on and on and on. Sometimes I even forget what I was talking about, or what point I was trying to make! But it wasn't always that way ... When I was younger, every time I'd get home from school or on weekend days, I'd talk my moms ear off, telling her stories about what went on during the week. She'd of course listen to me, but after about 30 minutes of me rambling on and on she'd finally say "nina callate ya!" which in Spanish means "girl, shut up already!", haha. She'd say it jokingly of course, and then tell me to take a breath because I'd literally been just talking for, well, forever. If you know me now you'd probably never guess, but I used to be extremely shy when I was younger. So shy that I would be afraid to order my own food at restaurants, ask someone where to find something at the store, or talk to anyon...

OOTD: Sprung on camos

Image
The weather is  finally warming up and that calls for brighter clothes!  If you haven't already guessed, I love wearing oversized/baggy clothes. I thank the goddesses of the 90's for making it such a look ~ I borrowed my boyfriends new yellow camos - I've been obsessed with them since he bought them! I seriously want a pair in every color. - and belted them up so they'd sit high up on my waist (and to keep them from literally falling off lol).  I believe every outfit needs some balance, so I paired the baggy camos with this black, ribbed, crop top. I bought this little top from H&M and I love it so much! It's super versatile and comfortable; I can pretty much wear it with anything in my closet.  Like I said before, it's still chilly out so I added my boyfriends tagged up flight jacket. He owns it but it's really mine, and I love how it brings a little bit of edge to any outfit. And it's the perfect weight for beginning of Spring ...

Currently Loving: My new Puma Soft Foam Platforms!

Image
I've been a (low key) sneaker head for the longest time. Most brands, most styles - if its a sneaker, I probably have it, have had it, or want it. I've had a few Puma sneakers throughout my life, my favorites being the Puma Suedes. The only bummer is that, while I don't even have wide feet, sometimes Puma sneakers are too narrow to fit comfortably, so I always end up reselling them when I get a pair. Until now ... I came upon these Pumas while wandering around 34th street, window shopping. I was meeting my boyfriend and waiting for him to arrive, when I popped into a shoe store and decided to try some things on. As soon as I saw them I made a mad dash towards them. Forever coveting the Fenty creepers ( HUGE Rihanna fan here), but also not really wanting them because literally everyone has them, I figured these were a good alternative.  I also figured these were so cute, I'd just put up with the too narrow issue, but as soon as I put them on, I discovered I would...

OOTD: Laced Up

Image
Hey Guys! It's that time of the week again! For this Sundays OOTD, I threw together a quick "could be" outfit (meaning, I didn't actually wear this to go anywhere, but I totally would! haha). I started out with this Fenty Puma by Rihanna lace up crop hoodie. I love this hoodie for numerous reasons; I LOVE Rihanna, I like athletic brands, it's black with white & red accents, its cropped, and its lace up! I took the lace out of the grommets and left it open and added a black band choker.  I paired the hoodie with these off-white, lace up pants from Daya by Zendaya. I LOVE these pants in general, but I do wish I loved them a little more on me. They're a heavy knit, so they're a little looser than I'd like on my waist, but because of my thunder thighs, they fit perfectly on my legs. They also show off the little belly I've developed, which isn't ideal either, but hey, I still look pretty cute if I do say so myself! Still on t...
