Currently Loving: Artist, Charmaine Olivia

Image
If you know me, you know art means everything to me. That particular freedom of expression and interpretation has always fascinated and delighted me. With art you can do, say, be, feel whatever you want and no one can tell you what's right or wrong. California based artist Charmaine Olivia creates art that is inspiring, moving, fun, and 100% unique. Her use of bright, vibrant color, and her illustrations of beautiful, other worldly women make each piece truly memorable. Charmaine Olivia Charmaines work has appeared in many places, all over the world. Some of her clients include Urban Outfitters, Lady Gaga, Hallmark, Volcom Stone, Vans Shoes, Element, Nylon Magazine, and Burton.   I fell in love with Charmaines art after seeing an image of her in the process of painting one of her pieces on Tumblr. I've been following her every since, and am still awe-struck every time she posts a new piece. Here are some of my favorite pieces from her! It was so hard to choose j...

OOTD: City Saturday's

Image
Yesterday was one of my City Saturday's - the day my boyfriend and I go into the city and just go galavanting around. Yesterday we got sort of a late start, so I only got a few pics in BUT, we make do right? So, since I  knew we weren't going anywhere fancy, I decided to keep my outfit simple, sporty, and comfortable. I wore my favorite sweater - this "Girl Power" graphic sweater, my favorite black jeans with the knees ripped out (these guys don't have much life left in them! *tear*), and my black leather Nike Air Max sneaker boots. Topped it off with my favorite flight jacket and Polo cap, and I was out!

F'real F'real: YOU'RE DOING A GREAT JOB!

Image
In our society, we as a whole are always striving to do the best, be the best, have the best, etc. Often, we forget to remind ourselves that no matter where we are in life, we doing a great job! Just being alive, being healthy, having a job, maintaining relationships - all of these things deserve our reminders of how great we are. For my birthday last year, my coworkers from Buffalo Exchange gifted me a book that I read through on a daily (okay maybe every other day) basis. It's called "You Are Doing A Freaking Great Job. and Other Reminders Of Your Awesomeness."  Needless to say, I LOVED this little book, and all the little joys it brought me. It reminded me that we are all human, and we are all just doing our very best to get by. Below, I'll post a few photos of some of my favorite quotes from that book that will hopefully inspire you and remind you that we are all only human. And that YOU are doing a FREAKIN GREAT JOB!  ...

OOTD: Favorite Looks! Summer '16 - Now!

Image
Hey guys! About a month ago, I started a new job at a skin care med spa! The job itself is great but, rather unfortunately, the attire I have to wear, is not :( It's not awful; we just have to wear all black pants, a black polo t-shirt (so not my style lol), and black shoes. Again, not the worst work uniform ever but definitely a boring one ... especially because of that shirt! Hahaa. That being said, I haven't really worn many outfits recently that I find cute enough to post, and I haven't really had much time to play dress up and just put together some outfits to post (I promise, I will make time soon). In the meantime, I thought'd I'd share some of my favorite looks from the last year! This outfit was sooo cozy & cute! If this look doesn't say New Yorker, idk what does. The cat ear hat. The shimmery, see thru top. The overalls. The shearling. It's just all so good.   HALLOWEEN! This past Halloween I was "Ghetto Fabulou...
