Sneakers For The Girls Who DON'T Wear Sneakers
A couple of posts ago, I talked about being a sneakerhead and listed my favorite drops of 2017 so far. I know that, like myself, there are tons of girls out there that love sneakers and are always keeping their eyes peeled for the latest, coolest releases.
But I got to thinking ... what about the girls who don't usually wear sneakers? The girls who only throw on trainers when they're going to the gym. I'm always badgering my girlfriends to ditch the boots & flats and try on some kicks, but never really thought to help them find styles they'd like and actually want to wear.
So here we go, my curated list of sneakers for the non-sneakerhead girl. 10 pairs that'll surely spark some interest in all you girly girls out there!
1 - Adidas - EQT 91/16 Racing Sneaker - $120
I literally could not think of a more girly sneaker if I tried. These super cute Adidas are perfect for warmer weather & for those who typically eschew socks, even with closed toe shoes. Pair with a dress, a skirt, pants, or jeans, it doesn't even matter because these cuties go with everything!
2 - ASOS - Dallas Nights Sling Back Sneaker - $40
Half sneaker, half sling back, these little skippies are the PERFECT summer sneaker! With no visible logos, and a super versatile style, you can throw these on with anything for a cute and casual look.
3 - Aldo - Cadassa Sneaker - $65
Dark wash denim with a super trendy tie knot bow, these cutie pie sneaks from Aldo give a fun twist to a classic slip on!
4 - Adidas - Superstar Slip On Sneakers - $65
An easy to throw on version of the classic Superstar, these slip ons are athleisure at its finest. Pair with literally anything for a sporty, cool girl vibe.
5 - Kenneth Cole - Kam Leather Sneaker - $120
Over the last year or so, we've seen a ton of brands come out with a simple, white, casual sneaker as a response to the popularity of the Stan Smith. Kenneth Cole has the Kam leather sneaker, but this colorway grabbed my attention right off the bat. This cool, floral printed shoe is great for adding some fun to an otherwise simple outfit, and the print allows you to wear them all the time without them looking to beat up or dirty!
6 - Opening Ceremony - CiCi Smocked Slip On Sneaker - $150
These funky slip ons remind me so much of those little smocked dresses that were super popular when I was a little nugget back in the golden days (the 90's). With the ruched trim and contrasting stitching, these fun slip ons definitely pack on the nostalgia while also delivering comfort and cuteness.
